Howard R. Peck was born on June 29, 1922 in San Diego, California. He graduated from San Diego High School.

 

Howard enlisted in the U.S. Army on December 27, 1942, with the service number 39272980. On September 8, 1943, he was stationed at Wendover Air Force Base in Utah, attached to the 715th Bomb Squadron of the 448th Bomb Group. On September 17, 1943, he was stationed at AAB Sioux City Air Force Base in Iowa. On November 5, 1943, he was stationed at Herington Air Force Base in Kansas. He married Anna Mae Zenzola on December 21, 1947, and they had one son, Terence L. Peck. After the war, Howard worked as a floor layer. He was a co-founder of the Coos Bay Art League in Coos Bay, Oregon, a member of the Uma-West art group in Hermiston, and a member of the Trails End Art Association in Gearhart.

 

Howard R. Peck died on March 27, 2015 in the city of Longview, located in Washington.
