Edward E. George was born on August 10, 1923 in Spokane, Washington. He attended Lewis and Clark High School.

 

Edward enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 16, 1942, with the service number 19033498. He later became a Flight Officer and served under the service number T-1527. He earned his bombardier wings at Deming Air Force Base in Deming, New Mexico, in July 1943. On September 8, 1943, he was at Wendover Air Force Base in Utah, assigned to the 715th Bomb Squadron of the 448th Bomb Group. On September 19, 1943, he was at AAB Sioux City Air Force Base in Iowa. On November 5, 1943, he was at Herington Air Force Base in Kansas. He married Mary Jo Puddy on July 19, 1945, with whom he had five children: Sandra George, Donna George, Nancy George, Marguerite George and Paul George.

 

Edward E. George died on April 19, 1981 in the town of Spokane, located in Washington.
