S/Sgt. Arthur S. Meyerowitz - Flight Engineer - Top Turret Gunner of B-24 bomber Harmful Lil Armful

Arthur S. Meyerowitz was born on August 15, 1918 in the Bronx, located in New York City.

 

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 7, 1941, with service number 32000985. On May 12, 1943, he appeared on the roster of the Technical School and Basing Training Center at Keesler Field, Mississippi. He was then assigned to the 302nd Technical School Squadron. On September 8, 1943, he was at Wendover Air Force Base in Utah, attached to the 715th Bomb Squadron of the 448th Bomb Group. On September 18, 1943, he was at AAB Sioux City Air Force Base in Iowa. On November 5, 1943, he was at Herington Air Force Base in Kansas. He married Esther Loew on March 7, 1946, and they had two children: Carole Meyerowitz and Mark Meyerowitz.

 

Arthur S. Meyerowitz died in March 1971.
