2nd Lt. Harry K. Farrell Jr. - Navigator of B-24 bomber Harmful Lil Armful

Harry K. Farrell Jr. was born on December 5, 1915, in Cook, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois. From November 1937 to January 1942, he served as Assistant Division Manager at Marshall Field & Co. In this role, he oversaw the operations of the services department and was actively involved in the management and administration of the company.

Harry enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 30, 1942, with the service number 16060585. He later became an officer with the rank of Second Lieutenant and served under the service number O-688013. On September 8, 1943, he was stationed at Wendover Air Force Base in Utah, attached to the 715th Bomb Squadron of the 448th Bomb Group. On September 16, 1943, he was stationed at AAB Sioux City Air Force Base in Iowa. On November 5, 1943, he was stationed at Herington Air Force Base in Kansas. He married Mary Jane Lord on November 13, 1945, and they had five children: Patrick K. Farrell, Thomas Farrell, Tim Farrell, Susan Farrell, and Betsi Farrell.

Harry K. Farrell Jr. died on July 31, 1976 in the city of Eugene, located in Oregon.
